Run your numbers with this contract for 6-7 years, vs staying the same for a year, and getting a REAL market rate contract for the last 5-6 years.

I'll take a chance on waiting a year, and getting a real deal by not giving up the greatest amount of leverage at the very last minute.
Uuh- Look at Passer's post Bunker. He specifically said 10 years.
Now if that's hyperbole, fine, but I think he's serious.
311 just posted that he'd go his career to wait for a CBA just so he's not responsible for "dragging" the industry down.
Thats either hyperbole or insanity, especially if this TA is close- I stress "IF".
Wait for the info.

I worked at a place that started an alter ego. We were offered the flying and aircraft initially but at a lousy rate. We voted no. And GoJet was formed. Flying against us at a cheaper rate. Within a year half the pilots were on the street. But we didn’t cave to some subpar deal. Maybe we cut off our nose, dunno. But we kept our integrity. Just my bedtime story
That's a nice speech 311.

I get what you're saying, but this isn't TSH. Being at Alaska plus a dollar doesn't make us GoJet. We're not an alter ego carrier.

There are literally no parallels between what happened at TSA and here.

Anyone else now think this T/A isn't gonna make it past the MEC? I have no knowledge of how things are going behind closed doors...just my gut instinct.

Taking longer so it might not. I still expect it to

I bet it’s going to pass the MEC, although I hope it doesn’t.

I think the process just takes time with the briefings, questions/answes sessions, vote and establishing roadshow schedule and supporting materials.

I wasn't making parallels. Just trying to let some understand that the No voters aren't just angry at the company. I'm willing to hold the line until a strike vote if need be. Besides I have big fish to fry, I gotta win this beat the peek raffle so I can win some Bluepoints

Where do you get Alaska plus a dollar from?
Alaska, April 1 2019 Capt 12 = 266.29
Jetblue, May 1 2019 cat 12 = 264. 18

Hope we hear from the MEC today. Will be interesting to see how many of the MEC guys vote yes. I hope the length of this process is indicative of how seriously the MEC is looking at all aspects of the contract.

I’m leaning voting yes, but only if the contract is solid.

No matter how you plan to vote, please read the scheduling section very carefully. It will directly determine your pay (more so than the actual pay rate) and your QOL. I hope everyone takes this responsibility seriously and I hope we get the contract we deserve.

Sorry, my mistake. 2018 are nuts on with Alaska, thought they were a dollar over.
