The interesting thing is going to be 190CA. I’m(320FO) hesitant to bid 190CA, because I don’t want to potentially be stuck on a fleet that will be shrinking for the next two years. I’ve been on a dying fleet at another airline and the trips/lines start getting worse and your seniority goes backward as the senior guys without a seat lock bid off.

If the TA only has a 1 year seat lock I think it would change things.

The 190 trips have been getting progressively worse for the past 4 years, or so.

Now the bid results.... I think bus captain will go very senior. Despite the AIP bullet points lowlights, I believe many (even those who will vote no) will make the jump from the jungle jet to the bus because they believe it will pass.

True statement.

System bids at Jetblue are not an indication of anything. In 2006-07 when we were loosing greater than 10% of pilots there were hardly upgrades compared to attrition. When you don't "build a church for easter" ,as barger/maruster used to love to state, the upgrades have never indicated much at jetblue.

We all know we are understaffed but the airline has decided is financially beneficial to RSA/VDA through summer rather than upgrade and train pilots.

They'll prob delay proper staffing for as long as possible knowing this place
What work rules are you referring to specifically?

Also, with so many dudes excited about the awesome AIP, I expect the company will now have even more confidence in the "staff with RSA" plan and feel they don't need to hire/upgrade as many.

Well if you read bluepilots the company is shaking with fear that this doesn’t pass.

This airline has been two steps ahead of this pilot group since its inception. I don't believe for a second the airline cares whether we have a contract or not. It will always be cheaper to RSA/VDA the busy months then to agree to a contract.

The only explanation I can come up with for agreeing to an AIP(albeit substandard one) is Jamie Baker.

I'm definitely not 100% sure of that.

Almost every 190 FO i've talked to since the AIP says unless I see a C order I'm voting no. I still don't think there's enough info to make a decision.

I'm waaaaaaaaiting!!! turning blue...
