If? Lets hear the theory-nothing would surprise me.

I disagree. They can simply issue a new supplemental bid, based on the TA outcome in a few weeks when the results are known.

My guess is this bid is very small pending the TA results.

Disagree with what? That they wont delay staffing properly? or that this system bid isnt necessarily indicative of their intentions?
I can buy the latter but not the former.

That the system bid is indicative of their intentions or staffing requirements at all.

Wether the bid is large or small, yes and no voters will try and mold it to the TA staffing requirements. I’m simply saying that it will not be attached to the TA at all. The company would be much smarter to basically make this bid net zero pending the results and then simply release another bid after the vote that aligns with the requirements of how the vote goes.

I also fully believe there will be an implementation schedule of length that this particular bid has no bearing on anything.

Lets see if they will "be much smarter".
If I see a low number, I will not be optimistic, but then again my optimism died years ago regarding B6 and with it perhaps my objectivity with it.

It’s always an If. They could wait till after the vote and put out a supplemental bid. But if the quarterly bid comes out it has to be on or before June 7.

Result of the vote won't be until the end of July/beginning of August. By that time, it'll be less than 1 month away from the next quarter's bid....

This bid should come out soon and it should be commensurate with what their normal staffing models are without a TA. Don't read anything into this system bid with respect to how the company views post CBA staffing.

They are required to “put a bid out” every quarter. Even if it has a zero number they still have to “put it out”.

So we will get something this week. I’m of the opinion that it will be small. Basically enough to cover only 1 month of training. Pending the TA results a supplemental will be released.(just my opinion)

Exactly what I was thinking.

Nothing should be read into what the company puts out.

Now the bid results.... I think bus captain will go very senior. Despite the AIP bullet points lowlights, I believe many (even those who will vote no) will make the jump from the jungle jet to the bus because they believe it will pass.

Gup

This I agree with. It’s a 40-50k bump now to Airbus CA. We are about to see a major shift in the bid demos.

The interesting thing is going to be 190CA. I’m(320FO) hesitant to bid 190CA, because I don’t want to potentially be stuck on a fleet that will be shrinking for the next two years. I’ve been on a dying fleet at another airline and the trips/lines start getting worse and your seniority goes backward as the senior guys without a seat lock bid off.

If the TA only has a 1 year seat lock I think it would change things.
