They were in the room, not us, so lets hear the entire story. (Full language)

This is a business deal for me. I'm not angry per sey. I just see suboptimal performance and much potential. Even if I were pure emotion, it wouldn't fundamentally change anything. So the whole emotional argument is nonsensical, particularly since humans make every decision, without exception, based on emotion.

That being so, the NC/MEC are in charge of B6ALPA right now. I simply want accountability and course correction. They may have been in the room but they must have intellectually accepted some false promise (that was not in writing) in order to retract the informational picket at a key point in the timeline. That was their failure and they must be publicly held accountable for this failure for the purpose of not repeating the mistake again. This is the real reason I never let things go... because humans make mistakes over and over again because they forget. I make the war analogies because they're the logical extension of everything that is happening here. BJ just pulled a North Korea or Iran vs. Obama. They played the president for money and time so they could develop nuclear weapons. BJ has played B6ALPA (and us) for time and money. Think of the billions they have profited by not paying us for years. Think of the billions they are profiting if we accept the AIP! Obviously money is not everything (it isn't for me) but for the purposes of academic debate, everything can be distilled into a dollar figure. This is the buoyancy that floats all of BJ's playbook. They have translated everything into cost which is why Robin said we can have either pay (at Alaska rates) or better rules, but not both. They have an empirical dollar threshold that encompasses benefits, work rules, and pay. I simply don't agree with their dollar figure threshold because empirically, they can afford to pay us double Delta's rates with industry leading everything and STILL turn a handsome profit.

Sure, I will read the language. I will listen to the road show. I will take it as a reference point from which to build on a counter-proposal. But again, no matter whether I read it the contract or not, it will not change the fact that BJ has already won the money and timeline objectives and played us the entire time. The numbers speak for themselves and I can't ignore them.

The problem I have with waiting till full language comes out is that the bullet points are suppose to be the highlights.... if they are the highlights I'm extremely disappointed. It's usually wait till language comes out and then you get more disappointed.

Why don’t you marry him? Or read the language before telling us what’s wrong with it.

Worth as an airline pilot says the pilots that hide behind the keyboard.

Little angry tonight after reading all your posts from multiple threads? Get delayed and miss your commute home (typical b6 problem)

Not one of the bullet points I have issues with could be affected by language. Where there's been ambiguity, I've said as much and that I'll read the language. My issues are deficiencies with the black and white rates/COLA/PS that are unaffected by the language. I absolutely WILL read the language (as I have stated REPEATEDLY), probably line-by-line at least 2-3 times, will attend the road shows, will ask the NC/MEC many questions, and will vote accordingly. You'll probably see my further analysis once it comes out. Possibly a pro/con list/paper if it's a close one for me and language somehow makes up for the deficiencies.

As for your snarky and childish "marry him" comment, I won't respond or engage beyond this. If you want to make comments like "the adults are talking" or make references to sandboxes, you should check your own comments like what you said above. I don't make derogatory comments to you, I'd appreciate if you had the same respect for me. I've stood up for you on this board for being a good union and company volunteer. I've stood up for you in person when people were discussing you and/or your comments in the cockpit, jet bridge, crew room, crash pad, etc. If you want to engage Q/BD, that's on you, although in your position I don't think you should. You should be the adult and take the high ground and stop instigating, or don't respond when instigated. But don't come after me, especially unprovoked.

What is wrong with just letting IDEAS speak for themselves?

Why involve personalities?

You're just trying to manipulate people into giving up their anonymity.

Waiting on a class date. What will reserve life be like under the new contract, should it be voted in. Also would the Airbus be available or most likely the E190. Either way reserve life and how long?

We don’t know much about the details of reserve. I’ll tell you this, the way we staff this airline currently reserve is terrible. Might be a little better on the FO side. Most likely going to go to the 190 if this AIP gets to a TA. Here’s the highlights of the new reserve.

New Reserve system including but not limited to: o Separate Long-call/Short-Call schedules o Increased days off o 2.5-hour short call out (co-base current practice) o 14-hour long call out o Airport reserve prohibited o First day of short call reserve no RAP or pairing report prior to 1000 (waivable by pilot) o First day of long call reserve no pairing report prior to 1400
