I'll do much better under the tax bill.

AMT being moved up to 500k will really help a majority of dual income earners with big houses, big families, so long as they don't live in a high tax state (or have high property taxes).

You just sound like a stable individual, with whom I’d really like to engage in conversation. My guess is that your lack of “hag” is not by your choice, but that of the women across the land.

A) I don’t watch Fox News, but I do file taxes and am very aware of (most of) the changes coming our way. Mostly, it will make filing much simpler since you won’t need to track any deductions (unless you make a LOT of money).

2) If you would like to PM me (and keep this thread about BJ), we can discuss your particular situation, and I can help you better understand how you will be keeping more of your money in your pocket this coming year.

My paycheck got smaller. My deductions are gone... so some guy can have an eighth yacht.

or, if a person has a lot of itemized deductions. don't assume you know everyone's personal situation. if this tax bill is helping you out, then good for you. it sure isn't helping me out.

now back to complaining about how jetblue isn't paying us enough.

Completely my choice, sorry to ruin your assumption. Not everyone wants the wife and 2.5 kids. Some people enjoy doing whatever they want, when they want, with whom they want for that particular scenario. And no I spend litttle to no time in carribean locations. I used the term hag because I get the privelage of spending quality time sitting next to other pilots complain endlessly about their spouse and/or children. In 20 plus years of doing this I can count on two hands the number of married pilots who were truly happy in their arrangement. The percentage who are miserable is shocking. Haven't met a unmarried pilot who was miserable yet. I'm sure there is one. You may be happy and I say congrats and well done but I knew since I was an teenager that it wasn't my gig. Sorry for the thread drift.

Probably single and miserable because of a divorce or 2.
