Hilltop I was a bit harsh in my reply. Apologies. This premium is ridiculous.

I’m not talking about TVs or sofas. I’m talking about accidents that in our industry could wipe out your lively hood and savings in short order.

If you don’t think it’s worth it, I’m happy for you.

Where are you coming up with this 10% number? The premium is far from 10%.

There are hundreds of things on a daily basis that could wipe out your livelihood. What I said was, I don’t think the premium correlates with the rest of the working world. This is a pilot group that squawks about not receiving industry standard pay, right?

On another note, when can my Porsche driving insurance agent contact you about some other products you might be interested in to protect your livelihood, family, and peace of mind?

The true metric would depend on whether or not you use it. You spend 30 years here, never use it, and lose the opportunity cost of investing 30K over that said time frame. Or, you’re habitually sidelined from drinking the water in the bathroom in SDQ. We all know people that constantly turn in insurance claims while the rest of us pay premiums and never do. The entire gist of my argument is that it’s overpriced given what other white collar professions pay coupled with the fact it can’t be obtain from a third party. It’s a moot point in the big scheme of things so I’m done arguing the point. I never got the unbiased info I needed to actually compute the true cost. I never said it had no value. I said I’m trying to find out exactly what the value is.

It’s like the mortgage docs; nobody reads them so they can’t tell you exactly what’s in there. Does anyone know the exclusions? What if I break my arm skydiving? Covered under STD? I recently found out a term life policy I’ve had for ten years excludes general aviation. Oops. It’s easy to click “take my money” and not know what’s actually in the verbiage. I acknowledge, I’m too analytical. I give up!

3x/day

No announcement yet, but flights are in reservations software.

Hope it works!

Um, why wouldn't it "work"?

I'm sure you could come up with several scenarios where it wouldn't work.

Don't get me wrong, I want this to work as with ALL of our routes. I do believe that this has been one of the most requested routes from our passengers for a long time. But, Big D has a large presence in BOS and they practically own MSP. Northwest was notorious for dumping seats in any market where they felt threatened and Delta could do the same. I really have no idea how our DTW and ATL service is doing, but I hope it all works out in the end.

Cheers!

Understand. They seat dumped us in ATL I think and we are still doing well and have since announced new ATL routes, new SLC routes and now MSP.

I think it will be a good route for us.

Well, here's hoping the push for the midwest starts with MSP. I think we'd do very nicely in STL, MEM, and MCI.

Maybe they'll use the opportunity for reduced customer traffic in the Caribbean and especially SJU to cover the middle of the country. Then again, they didn't do anything when LGB expansion didn't go our way. They didn't do anything when the Virgin deal failed. Why would they do anything now?
