Or you put CS or E2 on the west coast. We need to fly to the midwest. Maybe they didn't want to for a long time, but those markets have people that want to fly to both coasts (NYC, BOS, FLL and LA) and the Caribbean. The infrastructure exists in St. Louis, INDY, Cinn, CLE and even KC. Let's do it!

This is so true. The 190 makes sense if you have a support for it out there.

DOT data for Q1 2017

nsmiles Market B6 fare Avg LF%
236 LASLGB $100 76
372 LGBOAK $98 70
372 LGBSFO $98 68
372 LGBSJC $94 59
404 LGBSMF $113 81
415 LGBRNO $105 88
590 LGBSLC $114 79

978 LGBSEA $112 93
1242 AUSLGB $177 91
2510 LGBJFK $232 80

I'm no math wizard , but which of the above flights are "flying half empty"?

Now if the yield isn't there, let's continue talking.

That's the beauty of anecdotal evidence. You think the West coast flights aren't doing well.....You end up flying a late night delayed flight with 70 people on a 320 and wa-lah "Our West coast flights go half empty!"

Clearly the loads are more than that....the question is if what people are paying is sufficient.

Off topic Q. If you leave Jetblue they have to still pay you your unused PTO hours correct?

Congrats.

Sell anything above 100hrs first.

Or if you are leaving after December they always give us the chance to sell it back then as well.

But yes PTO is paid out.

We're still faced with the problem of being stuck with LGB. Unless we can find a way into LAX/SFO then the west coast will continue to be a struggle for us.

Midwest expansion from our east coast hubs is a more likely possibility if we get a CS.

Last time I checked there are some airlines that fly to the Midwest without the C series. I could be wrong though....

Just for clarification:

Sell now and/ or December sell-back = pto at 1.5X

Wait til you leave = pto at Base Rate only.

Yea, when's that ORD hub opening for us? That's how most airlines serve the Midwest. Not with direct service to BOS/JFK/FLL
