It's not the airline. It's the pilot. But then again, given Delta's HR screw-up the other day with their totally inappropriate comment about the use of their logo by guys just trying to put together a nice packet for their interview, in their case, it probably is the airline.
What comment did they make? Don't know about it

DL HR publicly called some applicant out in a facebook post and posted a picture of his resume.

Delta is developing a very smug 'better than you' corporate culture. Not impressed.

Don't let those two other douch bags ruin it for the other guys.
Then there was the Delta CA (26 years there) that was also a real estate broker (needs more $ I guess?). Anyway, he bought 17 positive space tickets for his agents between MCO and DAL but felt 18 was just too much so he jumpseated. Along with me on a SWA 737. Both jumpseats full in the cockpit of a 73. Halfway to Dallas he asks the SWA CA to turn on the dome light so he can do a crossword puzzle. 30 minutes out he has to pee. CA asks if he can wait for 30. On final the aircraft ahead gets a windshear and without missing a beat the SWA CA turns for AUS. Guy nearly wets he pants as he runs off in AUS screaming, "I'm headed to AA!" leaving his group behind.

JetBlue has developed a very hypocritical culture. They tout loyalty to the company and don't want to hire people who will leave for airlines that pay better, but if you need recency of experience, they tell you to go to a regional for a couple hundred hours before they'll hire you. I guess loyalty only applies to JetBlue and not regionals. "Not impressed."

Of course they want to hire people who will stay.

If this potential new person needs recencey how do you suggest they get it and stay "loyal" to the person or company they are using to end up at JetBlue. Play the game that's all it is.

Did Jetblue tell you this publicly via a facebook post? If not, it sounds like a personal complaint with no correlation to this story.

I'll corroborate that story. Was told the same thing 4 yrs ago. GIV instructor at FSI. 125 in last 12 months (over the North Atlantic). International Procedures Instructor. CRM/Human Factors program manager. NTSB trained investigator. Zero failures in nearly 3 decades of flying. Published author. Event speaker. 9000 plus hrs at the time.Fortune 20 flight department consultant. Former 121 CA. I've told this story ad nauseum here. Yes, that's how they roll at JB. Astronaut? Do you have 300 hrs in last year? No? Can you go to a regional for a year then? Yep, six figures right to $400 a week as a first year FO on an aircraft I already had a PIC type and 3500 hrs in.

I asked.... is integrity a core value? But you want me to train on a regional's dime for 200 hours. Answer- do you want a class date or not? Uh, since I resigned my job when I passed phase II only to be told go to a regional I guess I'll suppress my morals since my family is accustomed to living indoors.

Watched 7 military guys in my interview group of 8 get the TBNT because of recency. 2 were at AA six months later.

If you want the job you get what they want. Go look at all the debates about a degree, do you want the job yes, do you have one no, call us when you get it.
...and the end of Phase II is the appropriate time to tell someone to go to a regional?

No it isn't.

I was in the middle of editing my post after reading his again.

But other than the phase 2 part if they want recency that's what they want but they should tell you that or not let you interview unless every box is checked.
