We didn't get 15% of our income. Bear with the example, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Old way:
Annual Company revenue: $100
Annual cost: $91
Annual pre tax profit: $9
Annual pretax profit margin: 9%
$9 x .15= $1.35
$1.35 minus the amount it takes to pay everyone retirement plus. Which is 5% of YOUR income. Let's call it 35 cents for giggles. Now there's a dollar left over to split between all the employees eligible for profit sharing. They divide that dollar by the total payroll. Let's call it $7.
1/7= 14.28%
So you get a check for 14.28% of YOUR income.

New way:
Pretax profit of $9 or 9% like before.
$9x.10= 90cents
.90-(7*.05)= 55cents.
.55/7= 7.86% of YOUR income sent to you in a check.

Now let's say the company killed it. And revenue was $100 on $80 of total cost for a pretax profit of $20 and 20%.
$18x.10+$2x.20=$2.20
$2.20-.35(retirementplus)=$1.85
$1.85/7= 26.43% of YOUR income gets sent to you in a check.

Under the old rules on that larger profit you would have gotten 37.86% of YOUR income sent to you in a check.

Read the quote I quoted of hornetdriver. He said ALPA is their typical no help. And then you quoted my response to him with yours so I assumed you were agreeing with him.

No but you seem to think they're not helping you at all. Care to explain that comment?

Let me see if I can explain this simply enough...we've been emailing and asking via the website and calling repeatedly for 4 months...with no response at all. Zero. Zip. Nada. Other words that mean none. Capisci? I feel better now, how about you? Please tell me how they're knee-deep in negotiations right now, constantly involved with talking, emailing, and texting management, unable to do a single other thing because every minute of every day they're just working working working on the contract. Please?

And in your experience that's "typical" of ALPA?

Seriously? You're worried about a shirt? Right now? Wow

I hate the shirts. Hate them. But no I don't expect the union to do anything about it. Should the company fix them? Yes!!! However, If this is what they want us to wear. It's what I will wear. Did you bjtch to the marines or the navy about how much fatigues suck? Or maybe your G suit is to tight in the junk? Maybe your uturus mitten wasn't seen quite right for carrier landings... did you call your CO? THE XO? Maybe you called the air boss... or were you the guy who peed I coffee cups?

Get the shirts Taylored or don't. Whatever.

Our union has a lot more to do than worry about this. So I don't care what they're doing every minute of every day... but worrying about blue shirts should not be one of those minutes right now.

We've got negotiatons
Grievances
TCP
FATIGUE
Mx calling buull**** pilot writeups that are legit
FAs saying FATIGUE isn't real
RSA every day
DRO hasn't been out on time in 9weeks
But damn we need some blue shirt 7.0.

Yea. I can't imagine why you haven't gotten a response. Man if you really are a hornet driver, I'm disappointed.

Just my opinion. Not alpas.

I guess it's just if I see a problem, I fix it. If you think I'm "*****ing," then I don't think you know what that word means. Ignorance is bliss, I guess. Anywho, I didn't know there was this many ALPA guys on here. Sad, really. No wonder this company hasn't got a contract yet with the yes men here. Either way, I've said my piece. We'll take care of this ourselves...you can thank us later. I'll take your response off the air.

P.S. Learn to spell

I agree with you about the uniforms and I also agree you should've gotten a response.

I took exception to you saying that that is typical of ALPA in general. It is not.

You know I hate to do this.

Alpa works for the pilots. (As you know)
Let's assume he wrote to the uniform committee, who is there to deal with exactly this. He deserves an email or a call. Let's say he talked to one of his reps, who should have called the uniform guys to call him. Even if it was "there is nothing we can do" they owe him a call or an email.

Yes alpa is busy but that is why there are different committees and many people on each one. It is bad enough that the company sucks at communicating we don't need that in the union as well.(if that is the case)
