I hope you're right but I'm not so sure. Say you're doing a RSW turn that they swap into an Airbus and switch you to a MCO turn. The MCO turn is scheduled to finish inside the footprint of your originally schedule RSW turn. The MCO then being delayed outside your footprint I don't think triggers EPS pay. Just JRA.

I'm sure that I'm preaching to the choir, but this type of "grey area" is exactly why we need a contract with a robust scheduling section.

I hear what you're saying but I would argue that it does trigger EPS. Either way if it's not in rainmaker a few days after the pairing I'd submit a claim for "EPS missing "in rainmaker. If they deny it make a call to a rep for clarification, but it's my understanding that that's how it "should" work.

Don't take no for an answer. Until you've heard it at least 5-10 times.
FSM c.15 it's sort of explained.

How about this one: scheduled to fly to a destination just short of a transcon. Given plane that - because of a deferral - cannot be fueled to a sufficiently quantity to make the trip. Instead, passengers are told before boarding that they'll be stopping at an intermediate destination for fuel. In essence from a scheduling perspective the company took one leg and broke it into two with a new destination. Is this an emergency assignment? I get it if it's a divert. This was a known change from the planning phase.

Big Fat "Grey Area". The FSM Blows! Its a cumbya document that made sense when guys would do anything to make a buck. The FSM represents a company that operated 1/2 the flights it does today with 1/2 the pilots, jets and complications of the route structure.

Well said Bubs, same thing goes for our "bulked out" 32 page PEAs.

No motivation- Ive been saying it for a year now. The only motivation is when they cant staff and then its too late.
I know Im a broken record but how tf do they staff any decent work/reserve rules anyway? They cant, so we'll be voting on a contract that cant be 100% implemented for at least 6 months.
We are not close guys.
Update your logbooks/apps and make sure you still fit into your interview suits

While we are on the topic, could anyone just summarize what the latest news from ALPA is regarding negotiations to someone on the outside (cautiously) looking in. Currently in the pool, looking for an exit strategy out of my scumbag ACMI job. I'm local to JFK so B6 looked like a decent opportunity to get back on a somewhat normal schedule. I'm just curious what the current negotiation climate is. Based on the tone of these past few months worth of posts, I'm assuming the water's getting a little muddy? Is progress already at a standstill? From what I'm reading, and hearing from friends at Blue, there seems to be conflicting thoughts regarding when/if a CBA will happen.

It sheds a bad light on all of us, it's a public profile and it's all JetBlue and all in the cockpit! Guess it's all worth it if ym someone comments with that emoji with hearts in its eyes, or someone telling you I hope you have a great day Captain. Puke.
Some cringe worthy stuff on there.

We have 20 of the 31 sections that will make up our contract done, and by the end of the year, we will either have a TA, or we will be in a labor dispute. There is a "picketing rally" scheduled next month, which is basically a pre-requisite to actual picketing.
