Cool for those of us hoping for mco... But 8 bus upgrades? Somethings. Odd...
3 sys bids in a row now with zero or small upgrade numbers. A supplemental bid maybe with our new focus city in it? That's how mco went in 2008.
All I know is you can't staff 8 planes with 8 captains...

Only the core models are being modded... so about ~14-18 airplanes to mod. ( I forget if the airplanes from now until September are core or mint, I think they are mostly mint. )

This is something everyone wanting to come here should take into consideration. There is very small growth.
It will be multiple years to hold any Florida base.
And upgrade will be a lot longer than it is now.
Retirements will not be anywhere near as the majors.
Im not complaining, or saying don't come here, just saying its something to consider.

Small growth? They've added like 30 planes to what was 190 plane fleet over the last 2 years. New cities, planes coming monthly, no aircraft getting retired. How much faster do you think they could be growing this place?

He is saying that for someone hired today to make 50% on this list will take a loooooong time.
10% of the list retires in the next 10 years. 16 years to retire 33%. In 10 years the majors do
United 39%
American 35%
Delta 48%!!!!
He is just making sure everyone's eyes are open. Making a career decision on growth alone is very tricky. For someone hired today to make 50% in 10 years you would need another 90%(remember you need the company to double in size to make it to 50% on the list.)growth in company size. We are currently growing the fleet size by 4% this year and next and about 6-7% after that based on current order book.
All of this is based on growth which is one DOW fart away from going bye bye.
