Any other thoughts on where the cost advantage went?
Yeah I brought up these items in the MGMT debrief. It did not go over well. This was the one subject that turned out to be confrontational and I was told I didn't know what I was talking about.

I said it before. At 10 years, if I make the jump to a legacy, my cost differential is made up within 2 years! We are so far behind its a joke

guess it didn't make it. Sorry I even said FILL OUT YOUR APPS but the rest could have been construed as being positive and helping recruit. Don't worry I'll do better next time.

The above is sarcasm just like saying you will yell at me in the other post.
You defend and justify this airline too much PP. You and the rest of us deserve much better- Why are you not more ****ed at the management bs?

Im at just under 4 years and feel like an idiot for not deciding to leave after year 2. Now it could be a mad rush- my mistake was trusting what management said while ignoring their actions.

I only had time to take a quick look back at the past two system bids, so I can't provide all the details, but in 2015 there were 25 net upgrades and in 2016 there were 3.

Just curious on the timing of our TA at HA and the perceived 'shortage ' there and how they could be connected? It's a common question, what was the motivation for the company to negotiate now?

Our first three A321 neos are well behind schedule now planned for October/November instead of May/June. Not only did the original bid not get canceled they just put out one with 30 more CA slots. For........ you guessed it, planes that aren't here. But due in 2018.

You wanted VX. Maybe it's HA now? 2.6B market cap.
We have 16 firm and 9 options with already added leases to increase the fleet size just like what happened to the A330.

Anyway, fodder for the brain.
Who knows.
While a HA merger could likely be a positive development for us, I don't see short term staffing decisions being driven by a long term M&A deal.

Interesting. Buy HA. Get rid of the 190's. Now overstaffed. 190 pilots get time off (paid of course) until their training date arrives. Bigly Airline now. Good.

Now, I'll send my app in to be an airline exec...more baseball, or softball if you prefer, fields at The Lodge.

This. I'm in the same boat. I should have bailed two years ago or at least started trying. Maybe if I stay here another 10 years, I can try to hold a line on an Airbus in the left seat, working weekends and every holiday and 10 hr 3 days to SDQ. Maybe. And that's only if we actually start upgrading more than 3 captains every three months.

Because it's management and it's always BS. So no I am not shocked that they are playing games, why are you?

You must not be a student of history when you said you trusted management.
It's all bs and I don't know why you guys thought different. It's all freaking PR.

Same game different players.

I messed up and only looked at the JFK CA numbers for each type in my previous post.

Here are the totals for the CA side for the same bid from the past two years:

2015

320: 50
190: -5

2016

320: 14
190: 2

Sorry for the confusion.
