It seems some people here paint anyone who b!tches as a pessimistic malcontent who should just move along to another airline, when in reality they really want to be here but just aren't naive or willing to settle for less than they ought to be compensated. The whole "if you don't like it, leave" thing really does a disservice to the pilot group by tilting the balance toward the juicers IMHO. But at some point it will be time to cut bait and leave you with the blue glovers...
I don't think that's what Joe was getting at, ATR.....I think he was just saying that if you're low on the seniority list here, that for your career in general, it might make more sense financially and QOL to go to one of the legacies......I see a lot of the "If you're not happy, leave" posts....I didn't take his as one of those.

After meet and greets were cancelled due to $avety being our first value, staffing and retention are in the gutter. Experienced Techs leaving in droves to legacies, parts not being stocked as usual, MELs no longer being cleared on overnights, jets being sent out as "reset, ops-checked good" with repeat gripes until the failure causes an air turn-back.... I've had to outright refuse two jets in the past several months after never having seen or heard of it in my first 9 years here. Buy an experienced guy in one of the hubs a cup of coffee sometime and your head will spin.

Yeah I wasn't attacking you. Funny I get killed if I stick up for blue and I get killed if I say leave. I will say reading your other posts I never got the idea that you were even slightly happy here.

What I would like is a contract where guys like you do not have to make a choice like this.

In no way was I saying if you don't like it leave, sorry if that's the way it came off.

Just that if you don't have much time here and you will commute anyway I don't see what at this point would keep someone here.

I have always said it. It is totally up to jetblue to attract and retain and right now I don't feel like they are doing a great job.

This airline has a ton of potential but it just seems like sometimes they can't execute, but read any airline thread and you will see that.

Good thing is it's a pilots market for now.

Just had one with us on a Cuba turn. After working all night on the midnight shift he picked up the turn. Doom and gloom from his perspective. As an aside, lots of MELs lately. Including the number 2 IDG/GEN. This went through FLL a couple times and they're still flying it. MEL says 2 flight days. Guess they're going to roll it right to the end.

I assume this is all from our new mx manager?
I do know at the dinner for Captain charm school, Jeff M was telling a Captain they needed to cut back on the MX budget and make cuts in other places to "fund" our cba. The Captain looked at him and said not my problem. It does seem almost everywhere they are cutting back but this is an area that I don't like saving money in.

I'm sure the Feds will be real interested in cuts in the MX budget...

I have not been here long, and there is one thing, and one thing only keeping me here. Nobody else has called.

I went to the United Military Pilot Friendly, and Bill Kennedy told the group that this was the last year that they are going to do the fairs, and start holding their own events. They came to realize that they were the bread and butter for WAI and OBAP. The catch is that when the airlines hold these events, it is by invitation. So now it's just another level of trying to figure out why the airline is doing what it is doing. I got the invite to the friendly, but no interview came as a result.

Just came from recurrent. The mgmt debrief I was told, get ready for this. We, JetBlue are in a great position because the legacies could go out of business because they will not be able to hire enough pilots to fill the retirement voids. Yes. Bankrupt. So United & Delta with your awesome CBA's, good luck in a few years
