Nope. Was told directly they don't care until we have a CBA, They only care about being on Flica/Wifi in the airplane. ALPA has said the same thing. Police yourselves, we have being fish to fry

As someone that has written extensively about airborne Wi-Fi and has interviewed and maintained journalistic contacts at ViaSat, that's a very easy thing to track and identify. Right down to how much bandwidth a specific device is consuming. Truth be told, if they throw the switch they have the capability to deny specfic devices or reduce bandwidth to specific users via the router.

and how exactly would they know to whom each device belongs to ? all they see is a device IP address and maybe device type.

Little thing called a MAC Address and other information your device sends to the router. Also you can bet flica has a log as well that shows the IP address next to the login information. Routers keep logs as well.

Why do we not have a contract or a better PEA? Because pilots do the airlines job for them. Action - consequence - result.

The contract won't come regardless. There is not incentive for them to negotiate a contract. Our bargaining power is not greater than that of many regionals flying outside of CBA for 5 years. The pattern bargaining cycle can easily, and legally, exceed 5 or more years. Don't believe me go ask a negotiator or the ALPA lawyer. There is ZERO incentive for jetblue to provide a market rate contract in a timely manner.

Constantly picking up RSA's and VDA's negatively affects what the union is trying to do. Again, go ask the MEC or NC. Based on the airlines financials it can easily afford $300 an hour but sadly we won't get there because there is no pressure from the pilots.

Please do not mistake this commentary for "burn the house down" but in order to achieve market rate pressure must be applied. if you aren't in tune with this management group or its history then you probably do believe in unicorns and rainbows.
Again, missing the point. No one here is putting on any pressure to stop picking up RSA VDA OR trips in open time pot. Which means everyone does it. There's not carrot. Except for a few people saying don't do this shame on you.

You are correct sir. If you attend a union meeting they will discuss this very topic but they will state, clearly, that the union cannot publicly request pilots not to request RSA and VDA as that could be viewed by the airline as a work action.

They will state that until pilots stop nothing significant will change.

If this were true, which it is not, would the union be happy with you posting this on here? Take it down. You're only hurting our effort with this crap.

It's simple...stop picking up RSA and VSA and we'll have a great contract, or selfish pilots, who keep thinking only for themselves, take RSA and VSA and we'll get a mediocre contract! They can keep flying their Asses off, and make less than they would have if they sacrificed some pay for a few months???
The Union can't tell you to stop picking up extra stuff, so that's why we are getting the word out on this ambiguous forum!
You either get the big picture or you don't. Good luck to all of us who care about a great contract.
