Default Retro Pay...

With a new CBA there is usually retro pay. Coming from a PEA could we still get retro pay? If we do get a retro check, I would hope ALPA would negotiate the loss of profit sharing that we won't received from voting in the new LOA for the pay raise. Let's hope we get a contract in '17 before we cross this bridge.

BTW, I am for the pay raise we got.

Uh retro pay happens when a pilot group goes past the amendable date on an old contract and management drags their feet. This is a first contract. There might be a signing bonus but that happens to sweeten the pot because there's some turds in the agreement. I'd rather not have turds.

1st contract?

Why would the union waste capital on profit sharing? The company completely fulfilled its end of the agreement.

Retro? We are working under a non-expired agreement (PEA) till Dec '16. After that retro would be applicable but the amount expected would be heavily weighted by the duration we were working under an expired contract. Southwest was 4 years hence the hefty check.

In Hotel News : Congrats guys we now have all our LA overnights in scenic El Segundo. Woop-Dee-Doo. If you didn't like the Line...don't bid it. It was a handful of pretty long overnights.

YGBFSM. Some regionals have better hotel quality and locations than us.

That's because sometimes this places feels like a regional but with big planes. And yes, I stayed at nicer hotels at regionals than JB.

Ha! I did look up family resorts. Where all gay cruises, and yoga outlet comes from is a mystery. I am sure it's because I am on a JB thread.

For all the guys with experience in negotiations, at other majors, how do we as a pilot group speed this up? I don't know how much regional experience adds to this. The company knew you were going to leave, and you knew you were going to leave. Seems like a dog that hangs out getting kick just waiting for his chance to escape.

I've flown w/guys who moan about the Line....I swear they'd be happier at La Quinta cause of the free breakfast.

Like I said....If you don't like the Line, don't bid it. 80% of the overnights are in the El Segundo Aloft anyways. Go there, get your Subway footlong and retire for the night.
