If you would go to the union meetings, you would find out that now the negotiations meeting are not proceeding as smooth as before.
All your points are wrong.
I'm not going to take your word for it. When the union sends out an email telling us that the company is dragging their feet then everything changes. Until that time it should be good faith from the pilot group as well. Your attitude does not help either side.

You commute?

No. But that has nothing to do with anything.
And I think the worst are the pilots that pick up RSAs out of base.
It's common knowledge and it's being like that in any other airline.
We should stop picking up RSAs (or their equivalent) during negotiations.
Unions can't legally tell you that, but that does not mean we should just go ahead and pick up.
Every other airline went through that. Why should it be different here?

Don't take my word, go to the union meetings. You live in base, so what's the excuse not to go? Plus the last email did state the the phase was changing due to the fact we are entering the most critical parts of the TA. What you want to make of that?
Just go to the meetings. Since you save so much time picking up RSAs.
And how can you not understand the effects of you picking up RSAs?

Yeah no duh the pace will change once you get to the meat and potatoes of the contract. What you thought payrates and scheduling would be negotiated as fast as hostage taking?

Honestly man I can't understand half the sentences you write. Proofread your posts if you want people to take your arguments seriously. Did you catch the part where I said I have an infant? Not a lot of free time to go to a union meeting an hour away. I have faith in my union. They will communicate to me when things aren't going well with negotiations. Haven't received that email yet.

Gotta agree. The emails from the union say that the company has been negotiating in good faith, and coming prepared to each negotiation session. As far as I understand, the union and the company have decided to meet more frequently starting a few months ago as well.

Why would the union put out those emails and then privately tell some people at the union meetings that the company is dragging their feet? Doesn't make sense.

Some guys here are not even worth a CBAs. Or to have a union.
My comments have absolutely nothing to do with any kind of negotiation leverage the union may have! Read my question and you will see what I was asking (very simple question). Damn, your emotions are clouding your brain. And no, I haven't, and never will pick up an RSA until we reach a contract (for reasons said by you and others).

The last emails wording was a bit different. Whatever, go to the meetings. Or not and pick up RSAs

Blueblood,

I appreciate your effort to better JB through a good CBA. I think, however, you are losing most people in the message. You are like a broken record repeating the same one topic. I'm sure you've flown with guys like that and know how easily it is to tune out after the same old song and dance, especially the guys over-passionate about the one and only topic. Frankly, in my opinion, we have a few more issues to be concerned about over people who pick up RSA's. (Like those jerks who don't wear their lanyard!!!)

As others have said, our union themselves have said the company is (as of the last meeting) negotiating in good faith. Give it a rest.
