Funny how this got announced so soon after PCI was instituted. Coincidence or diversionary tactic? Look what all the conversation is about. Suprising that that bluepilot servers have been able to keep up.

If we accept this LOA (not a TA, that bears repeating), we get what basically amounts to a cost of living adjustment. If we don't accept the LOA, we take a bit of a pay cut (at least 5% in profit sharing, assuming a repeat of the past couple years' performance).

I'm sure the company would love to see us turn this down. They save money at the pilots' expense for however long it takes to achieve a new contract, AND they potentially benefit from the weakening of the pilot group's trust in our MEC that results after we vote against their recommendation. Um, no thanks.

The MEC has looked at this and believes it is costs us nothing to accept it.

I trust my MEC. Yes vote here.

Objection, speculative and without merit. You guys make it up as you go along with zero substance. Making more money now does not decrease the union's negotiation leverage. Then again, I don't spend all my time posting empty rhetoric on internet forums everyday so what do I know.

Practicing your writing skills? Or are you a true blue-juicer?

I finished that long ago. I am just baffled by the mindlessness (not just the post I attached - it was only an example) and the insistence that "if I say it then it must be true because I have a completely unrelated analogy and all situations are identical". I don't have a problem with anyone's view, just the complete lack of any logic. You are probably right though and everyone should fall in line. Both sides have an agenda - no doubt. Thanks for noticing I write somewhat well. Means a lot.

Im glad my opinion holds the requisite weight with you. Welcome to the forum, and brother, my only goal is to be circumspect. If they offer this now it means they will or already have taken something else. That's the history of B6. The history of how airlines negotiate is also well documented and I encourage you to further your knowledge in that area as well. Peace and good luck to us all.

#ImWithBozo. No voter here.

What's this I'm hearing about flight attendants getting a 17.5% raise??

And we get a pitiful 8%? My rate would have to increase by over 50% to match its equivalent in Delta's new TA. Insulting.

Why are you concerned with what the FA's are getting? They aren't part of our peer set and this isn't a TA. It's an LOA that will go away once we ratify our first contract. Our future pay rates are still being negotiated.

We need to trust our reps (WE picked them, remember??) and stay united to earn a strong TA. If they recommend a yes vote on this LOA, then that's what they will get from me. Take some time to actually read the LOA and the message from the MEC rather than just spewing the paranoid hate from bluepilots.

My MEC speaks for me! That is all.

Your screen name is appropriate based on the crap you post.

"If they offer this now it means they will or already have taken something else. That's the history of B6"

Such BS. We're not under the DR anymore. They don't get to just shove stuff down our throat. They know what the cost of pilots is now. They see what United, Delta, SW are getting and realize they'll be paying the same soon.

I trust that our NC, and MEC/LEC will not let up on the gas one iota and will deliver us a leading CBA as soon as they possibly can. If there are delays, I suspect and expect that they/we will use all mechanisms available to put pressure on the company to finalize a deal.

Stop acting like a battered wife and grow a pair.
