No, you didn't. It does make sense. As always the devil is in the details.

Now that scenario makes more sense. Hope I didn’t confuse you.

Not sure how true it is, but I have heard similar. Also heard the SQ flying will open too. Makes sense as they made changes to SOPs for the WATRS flying. I think it’s to partially align WATRS with ETOPS.

Obviously not the norm.

And, because I didn't credit a minimum of 35 hours for that month, I didn't get that month's PTO and V-PTO allotments.

It was a lean month....
I’m flying with a guy right now that drop and PTO his schedule to zero and pickup premium (VDA)….needless to say he’s really Senior

I was gonna say, I knew some 190 Captian’s that were doing exactly this a few years ago.

And it's a cinch at almighty Delta. Everything is better there, including the pilots. I'd say just ask them, but they'll volunteer that tidbid first.

I wouldn't hold your breath. The NATSQ flying is quite a bite more involved then waters, (where the waters and the NATSQ flying are aligned they share a lot the same procedures) the company isn't going to train every CA and FO to do it, far to expensive and unnecessary.

Sounds more like you have a chip on your shoulder. I never said, insinuated, or in any way tried to lead one to believe that.
I know almost nothing about bidding at DL, considering, you know, I haven’t even bid yet. I was speaking from direct experience at JB, nothing more.
Carry on.
(Oh, “carry on” is military speak for continue how you previously were. That’s how we speak at Delta, mostly because we are better than everyone else.)

I agree. In fact, the RUMOR I heard was that Hawaii will be a LAX SQ base. They just don’t want to spend the extra day training everyone on something they won’t always use. I have no idea if it’ll actually happen that way.

You’re in ATL, you should know what this means too, Bless your heart.

No potato chip on my shoulder, wasn't directed at you merely the generic delta caricature they've developed for themselves.
