Upped the spirit offer, along with +$150,000,000 in break-up fee.

If only they responded to our negotiators in similar fashion. I’m just thankful we were able to get $30million and 3% , in these trying times of saving money!

…but we don’t know how the arbitrator would have ruled! Better to just take the scraps we are offered rather than risk losing a whopping 7k!

but JetBlue can wiggle it’s way out of the deal if Spirit stock prices changes too much or it takes too long to get DOJ approval and doesn’t have to pay the fee.

I haven’t read anything that states otherwise.

At this point, I would like for Jetblue to just go away and leave us alone.

Spirit board already explained the two step process to consider a deal as superior:

1. It has to be viable
2. It has to have better terms

Still can't get past #1 and even doubling the cash offer or breakup fee would not do anything to change it.

Is Robyn offering to give up the NEA yet?

Why would he come out right now and offer to give that up? Ever hear of leverage?

1) there is no regulatory risk to creating the 5th largest company in a sector.

2) the terms are 40% better

3) why would they offer to give up the NEA and pre negotiate with the DOJ. That’s stupid.

350 million break ups pretty much guarantees they will do what’s necessary to make it through.

Why would the spirit board ask for the NEA concession other than just postering for an excuse to save their jobs.
