We're not "taking" $30 million. We're losing $90 million.
While the arbitration has been ongoing, the company has already figured out an amount that they care comfortable "giving us", and made that money up elsewhere.
Voting yes is essentially going to pay $700/yr for the ten year NEA deal (if it's all paid out equal, which we all know isn't going to happen).
Essentially they bought us off for $3 million a year. Well the company also decided to optimize those industry leading pairings by creating in base layovers, saving the company $12 million a year (from what I have heard).
So not only is the company not giving us $30 million, we're giving the company $90 million for the pleasure of passing the NEA....

No doubt! But what about the negative impact of poor customer service on your profit sharing check?!?

They’re hard to avoid when you’re a JetBlue pilot, especially with the stupid blue shirt. I’m not talking about on the plane. I’m just talking about walking through the terminal, walking past the gates, or eating at the JFK food court. Winter was ok with the wool coat, but summer is gonna suck. I used to have people come up to me and tell me how much they love JetBlue. Now they come up to me and ask me why we’re always late. Sometimes it’s hard to blend into the crowd. Maybe I just need more work on my chameleon skills. I better work on that instead of my nunchuck and bow hunting skills.

I've never had a passenger come up to me and ask me anything about our operations. Maybe I just have a highly developed RBF.

Looks like Delta is getting a 4% pay raise effective 5/1 on top of their profit sharing. Meanwhile, we are accepting 3% to sell out our scope. Quite the contrast.

Still, at least the majority of their workers are recovering half of what has been lost to inflation.

Factoring in inflation, we are taking a 4.9% pay cut over the past year with this 3% raise.

Cool….you didn’t say that. I don’t care what other work groups get if it isn’t flight ops. Other groups are severely underpaid as it is. Glad they got something.
