Early openers are up to 180 days prior to the amendable date, which is August 1st. Like I said a few days ago…$369 top CA, $269 top FO. By the time a TA gets reached and inflation rises even more…we may be there. And we should have some ties for our rates to at a minimum track the CPI/inflation in perpetuity, not just through the next amendable date.
While I agree that would be a great win, the CPI is a government rigged metric. It does not accurately state the true inflation rate. So, even that would be less than what we should be getting.

I must say, it is disheartening to not be able to get a raise until lengthy negotiations are complete and contract is signed.
Meanwhile, every month our pay is being diminished more and more, sometimes over 1% per month. It is an insidious form of taxation and savings for the company. Most people probably aren’t financially educated enough to understand it. My hope in posting here is to help spread awareness.
