Totally depends on your preference. The pay is about 10% lower.

It's more of a regional schedule with some longer NE to FL legs thrown in. Also some Carib flying mixed in here and there. But generally you see more legs per day at :45-1:30 duration.

The plane isn't as comfortable as the airbus. Say what you want about the Airbus, you can't deny it's a comfortable workspace. The 190 not so much.

You can move to the bus whenever you want. JB has a 2 year aircraft lock so unless you switched the the 190 and want to switch back there are no issues.

Not at JetBlue. The airplane can do that, but JetBlue doesn't use it that way most of the time.

Also cockpit feels a lot smaller because of the 2 hud projectors

Cockpit is smaller than a CRJ. Can't even stand up in it and I'm average height.

IMO having flown both. The Bus has better trips, layovers and typically less legs a day. But there is a very large discrepancy between pairings. Junior guys are getting 10 hour 3 days that include red eye flying, while mid level guys get 18-20 hour 3 days and senior guys get 8-10 hour 1 days. The 190 has hardly any 10 hour 3 days and not many redeyes, none back when I was on it. The pairings also seem more consistent, as in most are worth between 5 and 5.5 a day. If you have to be junior, I think being junior on the 190 is better QOL, but that's just me.

I have flown both planes as well and fifi is hands down way more comfortable. I also enjoy my one or two and done days. I'd rather fly a transcon than do 4 short legs in the 190.

Maybe I was lucky in the past but after I had about 1.5 years on the bus I was able to avoid most of the 10 hour 3 days. They need to fix that in the CBA. They need to be a lot closer to 15 hours of credit.

What you fly comes down to your personal preference on the type of flying you want to do and what you want / need for a paycheck. Also what's open in your new hire class.

Coming up on 2 yrs in Nov. Unless I specifically ask for them I've not had any of the 10hr 3 days in months. I will swap into the west coast ones occasionally (SMF, etc.) but as I don't really enjoy the island red eyes I avoid them.

I thought it was just me. Glad to see I wasn't going nuts.
