Rumor is he is going to the airline with a large hq in Atlanta , which won’t help us .
Besides this , I personally hope this shake up in the ELT is a good thing for us , I also really hope our next CEO is someone from the outside with some kind operational experience. but we all know whose gonna take over….unfortunately.
The board needs to realize they gotta throw some cash around if they wanna attract formidable talent.

You’re sure we didn’t give up anything in return?

As usual, people here go on the attack. What I was referring to was JetBlue’s statements in its Q3 earnings call (as well as statements regarding the NEA in press releases and it’s defense against the DOJ suit) about its goals to capture more business travel traffic, particularly in Boston. My point is if JetBlue wants more of these travelers IN THE FUTURE, then it can’t be number 10 for on-time performance or receiving 9th place above Frontier for customer service.
Regarding what do I think is going to happen? I understand covid is ravaging every airline right now. However it’s striking to look at our performance versus Southwest’s last week. A month ago, Southwest canceled part of its schedule so it would be properly staffed for the holidays. For most days last week, Southwest canceled less than 1% per day. Meanwhile JetBlue canceled 7-12% a day while having 30-45% of its flights delayed. Southwest learned from its meltdown. At least now JetBlue is looking ahead the next 13 days and trying to show what it can realistically fly so customers can have some time to get to their family event/interview/cruise/college/meeting. Sometimes I think some forget why we are flying these planes - people are paying to be somewhere. I think JetBlue is an awesome airline with a standout product, but that’s not any good if we fail to deliver.

very valid point.
who knows man , a shake up in the ELT could be good for us or make it even worse. I personally just hope this is not a series of events that lead up to a M&A situation .

word is he went to Delta as a VP. Sounds like he quickly needed a job, because why go down two levels to go to Delta? I think he was an EVP here. Something is up with the abruptness of it and where he went at what level.

Because he as upward mobility at DL, and likely more pay, with a better package, at better airline. Essential the same reason pilots leave JB for DL.
