They probably didn’t expect the pilots to turn down a 2% raise. They expected an easy YES vote.

ahhh you have no idea about how arrogant our management can be. For a few reasons. They were always use to us just saying Yes, they have little respect for the pilot group, and they still think just working here is good enough because you know culture.

Rumor was Dave our former CEO was shocked when we voted in a union, so this does not surprise me. Heck it was a super close vote so some of their attitude is justified.

This pilot group almost passed a free scope concession. The union was selling it harder than management was. They will come back to the table because it will be very cheap to get us to 51% and they know it.

The union's job isn't to hold the line until the UNION thinks it's enough for 51%. They are the firewall. They need to get as much as possible, as much money, as much restrictions, as possible.

They need to be the firewall they are supposed to be.
