What are we gaining out of this? I’d rather get furloughed and have a good job to come
back to.

Boy I really wanted to be in favor of this LOA so we could start growing again, help us recover from Covid and have some extra peace of mind in regards to furloughs....disappointing.

Thats kind of my point it’s seems like a very good deal for jetblue and not so hot for AA. We basically get to pull all of our planes out of the desert start hiring even have significant growth AND start building TATL ops.

Obviously we need to read the TA and if that’s how this all works great.

I’m pretty sure when management from both sides first sat down to work out this agreement, that the livelihoods of both pilot groups weren’t thought about much at all. The fruits that the Jetblue pilots received was just a byproduct of this alliance. A lot of that fruit is tied to Section 1 of our contract.
This allows AA to partner with another big player in the Northeast and remain competitive against both United and Delta. This agreement is mutually beneficial to both parties. No one forced AA to come to the table.

Maybe you are just looking at this from a pilots vantage point?

First of all..... I wasn’t trying to be nasty to you. I was just trying to get you to look at it from a different point of view since maybe you didn’t get why AA wanted to be associated with this alliance. I still believe it’s very good for both Jetblue and AA and a lot more expansive than I first thought. If you can’t see how this alliance is a big win for the companies themselves, absent the pilots, then I’m sorry.
Now I get a chance to vote on it as a pilot, and the negatives outweigh the positives. Not really sure what point you’re trying to prove or just trying to pick a fight like we’re on BluePilots.

It’s sort of annoying to read the tough guys on here saying “I’d rather be furloughed” than expand the codeshare. It’s highly unlikely the majority of the bottom 20% feel that way.

I would bet big money that this passes by 65% or more.
