Announcement today regarding JB+AA codeshare says divestitures of slots in JFK and DCA. Not to be insensitive but I hope those slots aren't coming out of JB's portfolio. JB isn't in trouble financially (relatively speaking) and those slots are unobtainium once they are given up.

I bet we give up some JFK slots, AA gives up some DCA slots.

I’m seeing 3 slot pairs divested in JFK by Jetblue and 4 by AA.

DCA: 2 Jetblue, 4 AA.

JetBlue can’t exit any route in JFK.

Ok. Not near as many as I feared.

Jfk probably goes to UAL, hope Delta gets nothing. They already hoarded too many NYC slots.

Just reading on company site that US will require a negative Covid test for international arrivals. Another blow to the business if you ask me. Probably smart for the authorities but I see a big dip in bookings unless the resorts can get Covid testing up and running . As for the DR, not sure what kind of testing capacity they have or if those customers will be willing.

I’ll be interested to see the details on this due to the fact that the US cannot deny entry to US citizens.

That being said, the vast majority of our international destinations currently require negative tests to enter. DR, Mexico, and Costa Rica would be notable ones that don’t off the top of my head.

Perhaps the airline doesn’t let them board without the test. Sorry Mr US Citizen but you were denied boarding in Punta Cana, not denied entry into the US.
