Jetblue FA, Coke and Shoes

Yet Thousands of Ramp/counter/food service employees and TSA are able to sideskirt security checkpoints all across the nation. perfect exaple would be after the Guy in ATL got caught smuggling 24 guns , they didnt start screening all of them. When the group in MIA and LGA got caught putting dope on planes they didnt start screeening everyone. So I dont see KCM in any danger of a shutdown because of one dumba$$.

I know of 2 other instances where FA's were selected for random screening and instead of going to security one went through an alternate employee entrance without being screened. The other one waited for 30 minutes and when the TSA agents swapped shifts, went back and entered through KCM. One of these was non-reving and I'm sure they just didn't want their liquids taken away. The other was on duty and it was faster to just go through the other employee door. I'll bet there aren't many FA's smuggling drugs or other stuff. However, there are ALOT more FA's than pilots so the chances of getting cocaine runners is greater with the FA's in KCM.
I have nothing against FA's being in KCM, but I can almost guarantee you there is a much higher percentage in the FA group that could care less if they lose their jobs than in the pilot group. Not that we are better, but FA's have way less to lose than pilots and will risk stuff like gaming the TSA to make money smuggling drugs or whatever than pilots will.

I've always said this; from a risk management standpoint it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. 121 Pilots and FAs are two entirely different groups of professionals when it comes to our investment in our careers. High school (or G.E.D.) diploma and 3-4 weeks of ground school, boom you're a flight attendant. Pilots (regional, not major) on the other hand have at minimum 6+ years of undergraduate, flight training, flight instruction, etc. Terrorism is about the best bang for the buck (pun intended); so if you're a terrorist organization aren't you going to flip a member of the FA group that has less to lose than a pilot? Common sense would suggest so, but because we need to be politically correct, we tossed in the FAs into a program originally intended just for CASS participating pilots.
