jetBlue Hiring

Summer slow down and attrition. At the end of the year our seniority list will NOT be 300 larger. Seniority list has never grown by the number they advertise in my time here.
And if you've been here more than a few years, the big number they advertise is meaningless when they only net 150-200. That is slow seniority progression.

Umm 1100 pilots in 5 years is pretty dang good lol. If we keep that up, we would match where a new hire at AA would be in 15 years, if not be better. Ofcourse growth can disappear at any minute, while retirements will still be there.

Actually it's 1100 pilots in six years. Less than 200 per year.

We will NOT hire 250-300 per year. That is chief pilot/school house propaganda. I've been here almost 6 years, they have been promising big hiring numbers the whole time. I made a spreadsheet 6 years ago with a more conservative number than that and it keeps falling further and further behind the estimates from the spreadsheet.
I no longer trust them.

Its a no-brainer to avoid B6 if you want an upgrade in less than a 7 years.

There's one thing being qualified for a legacy and another to actually get that call. I know several like everyone else does with 10,000+ hours, plenty of TPIC, check airmen who can't get a call. At some point you have to make a move or risk being stuck at a regional.

I remember my first instructor during IOE at Eagle telling me: "stay out of the crew room, nothing positive happens in there." He was a genius.
I was hoping a few of the more well adjusted members on this forum can answer some questions I have about working conditions.
What do your trips look like? At mid range seniority, how many days off per month? How long for an A320 in BOS? How does RSV work? Are there any minimum hours of pay per day? Can someone (or a few people) post their schedule or direct me to where I can view some samples? Maybe a bidding packet. Thank you
Feel free to answer in the forum as I'm sure others have similar questions.

While the "latest and greatest" thread is long and diverse... many of your questions are answered there if you go back a year or two and read up. Probably worth the read.
I'll try and hit the high points for you later on a commute if someone doesn't beat me too it.
