Gollum, I just applied for this window. Do you mind sharing what they asked on the phone interview? What do they want on the addendum?

Also, what are your flight times?

It was one on one (as far as I could tell) with a Pilot Recruiter (in my case a First Officer). They review your times on your application and go over the questions on the app.

Then asked "Why JetBlue?", "What question do you have for me?" "Any thing else you want to tell me that you think we should know?"

The addendum is to explain any yes answers to check ride or training failures, accidents, incidents.

Overall it was about as low threat as you can get.

TT 5400, TPIC 2400, ME Turb 3400. Mix of Mil / Civ, Single / multi, piston, turbine and Helo. Civ and Mil IP

It is funny to go read stuff there. Sounds just like here. Why stay at AA when real airlines are hiring. Ugh. You will rocket up that list soon it's like 80% gone in ten years or some massive number like that.

But it will be very interesting to see what they do with the debt.

Just an observation in no way am I defending blue or bashing AA.
Upgrade times are always shifting, but the retirements are immense over the next 10 years at the big 3.
We (B6) have hired our last captain for a decade- I think that fact alone should steer anyone who doesnt live in Boston away.
3 net upgrades is zero growth but a CBA may drive a need for more staffing. B6 is so cheap though, I fear theyll wait until it bites them.

This. AA is an absolute joke. DUI Douggie isn't even remotely through with them either.

People can say what they want about it here, but when we get a CBA I think this will be a great place to be.

I agree, IF you are already a capt. If you are at all junior it's hard to ignore 8 month upgrade times at DAL. Here? 5 years to be a permanently junior capt in a permanently junior base...

Feeling like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place and getting dinged for taking time for family.

Sorry. I meant that most regionals would hire you. I also got told I was over qualified by JB

Who at JB said you were overqualified, and what was the venue?

Much improved, but movement will still be a snails pace and for those looking at B6, they have to know upgrade will be 7-10 years.

Figure hiring @ 250/300a year, so 10 years to get to ~6000-6500 pilots.
Thats not accounting for any attrition which so far, has been low. A CBA cant come soon enough.
