There is a gross misconception of attrition at jetblue. The common consensus seems to be that of the Delta's and Untied's sucking Jetblue pilots in droves. Both carriers are hiring from within(guaranteed regional interviews) and mil pilots.
Its high time those employed by Jetblue started fighting to make Jetblue better. Management certainly doesn't care whether you like it here or not but your fellow pilots certainly do.

Attrition isn't what people claim on here in many cases . I know the numbers and see the lists. We have lost some but not nearly enoUgh to make management blink much. So far this year we have lost about half of what Jetblue planned for.
I do feel it will get worse as time goes on but just isn't there compared to some rumors I read and hear .
I don't work with the Vets in Blue stuff but I have heard that Jetblue has been burned quite a bit from Military guys leaving right away after training for the big 3. Heard they are paying less attention to that for this reason . My solution is fix the reason they are wanting to leave ..

Random question related to the 'overqualified' statement.. I'm looking for advice for applying..I have almost 6K TT, 2400 121PIC, 3 types including 757/767 and A319/320, international experience (including Africa, Europe, Asia, S. Amer) then took time off for family but stayed in flying by instructing and teaching ground school in an aviation program at a local college. I can't get on with a legacy or JB because of lack of big iron currency but I'm overqualified for a regional.... So where to go from here?

You are over-qualified for a regional, but they will hire you if currency is what you're looking for. Just pick the right one for you in case you enter an extended holding pattern there. I was told in the interview a year ago that I was over qualified.

Feeling like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place and getting dinged for taking time for family.

Umm AA is a complete clusterfrock. Why don't you take a peek at the AA section. Their contract is pretty terrible as well. On top of that, they have a MASSIVE debt load.

What is the upgrade at AA?
It is funny to go read stuff there. Sounds just like here. Why stay at AA when real airlines are hiring. Ugh. You will rocket up that list soon it's like 80% gone in ten years or some massive number like that.
But it will be very interesting to see what they do with the debt.
Just an observation in no way am I defending blue or bashing AA.
