jetBlue Hiring
#9841
Oh no I even said that 10 years ago it was known that JetBlue was behind on pay. How much was a 190 guy paid again?
I am not ignoring anything, have you seen me defend the company on mx issues?
But I guess you are right about otp we must be the only ones

That is just a 5 second search.
The other huge mistake imo is having LSC in NYC. That money does not go far there. If it were me we would leave the marketing team there and move everything else to Orlando where we would probably get more bang for our buck.
I have said before they need to stop "playing" airline. The rest I think you need to take up with southerner.

We've spoken and I know how practical you actually are, but your threads sometimes smell very blue especially when you hitch up to South and Hypkid.
In fairness to you, I am not the "burn it down guy" that I sometimes project either
In regards to the problems at the legacies; who efn cares? They have real contracts and B6 does not.
Im working 3-5 days more a month to make what my counterparts in the real airlines do. Oh and Medical/retirement/10hr 3-days etc. bla bla bla.

To be fair to ATR he was hired at a much different time. I think we spent like 3 months on reserve and guys today are not seeing that quick qol change to their schedules that we did. You can let stuff go when you have a good schedule but when you are stuck at the bottom it all compounds.
He's trolling. And not even doing a good job of it.

My complaints have precisely ZERO to do with my current seniority situation. I've been junior a lot in my career. I know the difference between being junior and being under a system which is severely lacking for pilots of all seniority levels.

Yet for months when called out for your baseless pro-management claims, you refuse to back them up (due to inability, of course).
It doesn't bother me since I know there's always a small percentage of your types at every airline. I just hope prospective applicants here don't take anything you post seriously.
The only thing that "keeps getting better" is this pilot group's unity against your buddies Bart and Paul and everyone else at LSC and OSC who are trying to keep us under a system that compensates us 30-40% less than our peers.

They usually just want the 320 type and the regional stink off of them. Unless theyre from Boston, each one of them has AA/UAL or DAL as their destination.
Spoke to a PhzII guy today whos hopin for the UAL call before he even gets a class date here.
These guys are much more clued in than I was- I was just desperate to leave RAH.
Juicers aren't a factor anymore so sleep well brotha.

With several friends in the pipeline to come here each has heard the very same commentary from me. Jetblue is a great intermediate step between your regional and a major. Even if you live in your regional base I believe your quality of life will be better at Jetblue. They have also heard all the spiel about this place being a cult. This has to be beaten into people because the initial experience at this airline will have you believing otherwise. Once out on the line the reality of what this job hits you over the head like a 2x4. This is why pilots like Southerner(no offfense) tend to side with the airline. The training environment at Jetblue is rare and you come out full of blue juice.

I agree you are more circumspect than Southerner by a large margin, however, you always appear to err on the side of the company- by this I mean you are quick to specifically critique the negativity towards B6 but only brush over the absolute dishonesty of management.

You don't know me, and you have no idea how circumspect I am. I know where our issues are, and I want them to be fixed. I've said this over and over again. I just don't believe that you have to hate JetBlue in the process.

I flew the line here before I came to training, and I don't side with the airline. You guys just don't seem to understand nuance. There is a difference between liking to clean, and complying with company policy when non revving. That's just one example. I understand that the company has the right to set policies as they see fit. I don't take it personally that they want to run the airline that way. I choose to nonrev, so part of that choice is complying with the policy that, in a perfect world, would be different. But it ain't.
My frustration with some of the rhetoric on here is that JetBlue management very clearly wants a certain kind of airline. And you guys are mad that the airline they want is different from what you want/expect. You're frustration is centered around that. You want to be more like Delta. JetBlue management wants to be less like Delta.
So when I say that you should apply to Delta if that's the case, it's not because I'm being snarky. I'm being serious. We aren't that. We never will be that. I hope that our pay, work rules, and benefits more closely align after the CBA, but we will still be an airline run by a management that doesn't want to look like a legacy carrier. So why not go where you seem to desire to be? Even if we get an industry leading contract, you're still going to be annoyed at the company when they send out communications that are typical JetBlue. Don't you want to work somewhere that you agree with philosophically, deep down?
So as I've said before, you don't have to hate JetBlue to want a good CBA. If you do hate JetBlue, I don't believe a good CBA will fix that for you, because it isn't the current contract that you hate.
And with that gentlemen, I'm out. If you want to talk with me, send me a PM. I'll even buy you a beer when you come through MCO sometime.
