So for a potential new-hire, would you say that E190 BOS has the best overall QOL/movement over E190 JFK? I live in CT and could drive to JFK or BOS so I could bid whichever gave the me best option.

I'd also like to know this...with the E190 are the trips 3-4 days or out and backs? Also where are the overnights typically on the 190 out of BOS or JFK?

BOS 190 base is much bigger than JFK 190, and more movement. If you didn't like being based in JFK you could easily bid BOS or vice versa. Go with whichever is within a 2hr drive (for reserve). 190 (both JFK/BOS) gets a lot of overnights in northeast (PWM, BTV, BUF, ROC, SYR, HPN, SWF, EWR, DCA) along with Florida (MCO, FLL, JAX) and SJU. 2-3 legs per day on avg.

Here's a rough idea of trip lengths by fleet breakdown:

320:
34% 1-day
25% 2-day
20% 3-day
17% 4-day
4% 5-day

190:
36% 1-day
19% 2-day
18% 3-day
26% 4-day

Default Vets in Blue

Any idea what the waitlist means for Vets in Blue? I signed up to late and got waitlisted, but, I will be at the WAI conference.

Should I hang around until Sat waiting for an email?

Thanks

I think the wait list puts you first in line for the next Vets in Blue event. I wouldn't hold my breath for the one coming up.

Whenever the next Vets in Blue comes around you will be notified first, even before us regular line pilots at jetblue.

For those who did get a ticket to Vets in Blue, did you get an additional email to the one with the ticket with any other info?

Flyby,
What kind of weight do you think being a vet will hold meeting will JetBlue at WAI vs being at the Vets in Blue event?

I think both the Vets in Blue and WIA conference are excellent ways to get to the top of the stack in terms of applicants. Being a military vet is an added bonus. If you attend the WIA conference make sure to tell them you are a military veteran and tried to get to the Vets in Blue session.
