How many applications were submitted during this window? I know of at least four friends that applied and including myself we are sub 3000 hrs total, yet to upgrade. It seems like high-time pilots are avoiding JetBlue and holding off for UAL, DAL, AAL, SWA, FX, UPS etc.

I think the average experience is around 5,000 hours.

Ummm. I made no value judgement. I'll find out the precise average from this last window, and let you know what it is. I do know for a fact that it is no lower than 4,000, so it is between 4K and 5K.
As far as being amazing here, I'm happy working here. There are things that need work, and guess what, we voted in ALPA and are negotiating a contract that will fix those things. I've spoken several times with NC members, and I'm pleased with what they say.
Am I a bitter jerk who hates my life? No, but I don't derive my happiness from my job or my company. If that makes me a juicer, so be it. Those who actually know me know that I call things how they are. I don't make things up to fit an agenda.
If you are unhappy here, you should go to an airline that will make you happy. (Spoiler alert: If you expect a company to make you happy, you're in for a lifetime of disappointment.) Plenty of airlines are hiring. The rest of us will stay here and work on fixing the things that need work.

Thank you for this injection of rationality.

This is possibly the best summary ever of a real, tenable, balanced life position for an airline pilot. There is a continuum between Juicer and ALPA hardcore. Most of us exist somewhere in the middle. We can be lanyard wearing, committee member, market-rate supporting members and still enjoy our job on a daily basis.
Thank you for this injection of rationality.

Juicer
I think it's the way life is today. You have to pick one side or the other. Or those are the people that scream the most. Just like the country I think most guys here are just like you.
