Default FLL

Any idea of the possible new hire crew bases and equipment for the next few classes. Also, if given the opportunity, is FLL an easy place to get a crash pad and how are the trips out of there? I'm a commuter from the middle of the country and trying to figure out the best place to go.

Guessing it will be a mix of 320/190, mostly JFK/BOS, heavier on the bus for a while. The last system bid created a lot of training events on the bus, and the most vacancies were JFK. If you are commuting from the middle of the country JFK is probably the best option. LGA/EWR and a few other smaller airports are all options if option 1 doesn't work out. BOS doesn't have a whole lot of other options, and I've found BOS wouldn't work early as well for me when I was considering changing bases. I don't know the DOH of the junior FLL guy but I wouldn't plan on that being your base for a bit.

Depending on where in the middle of the country you're commuting from, LGB might be an option. I think some of the new-hires recently have been awarded that.

No one has been awarded LGB recently. But there were 9 unfilled positions on the most recent bid that will go to new hires in the next few classes. Probably not all in one class, however.
