Heard all new hires get the wool coat. Wonder what the eta is. The leather took a few months to get. The old shirts were huge and I had them tailored as well.

You should be able to order your own leather from Perone if you what to write the check for it. I love the leather personally.

Metal wings. I personally don't like the embroidered ones. Reminds me to much of TSA or a greyhound bus driver. I've never had the wings backing fall off.

Heard a rumor today that leather is going away, and we're all going to be sporting p coats. As is the case with all rumors, this comes from a "credible source."

That's funny.
The FO I am flying with was telling me RH hates the leather jacket and would like to see it gone. Hmmmmm
I would prefer that not be the case.

Leather option for new hires went away over the summer, so abut 3200 guys out there that most likely have the leather. HPI is listing the wool coats for $239, so allowing for shipping and a bit of savings on a large order, that's close to a $750,000 company spend. Including time, logistics, etc. it would be close to a million total cost. That's a lot of cash to blow just because RH doesn't like the leather coats.

Also HPI has less than 1000 total pieces in stock of all sizes, so it isn't happening anytime soon.

I vote just another rumor..

What is the uniform cost for a new hire? Does the company pay a percentage of cost, and is it taken out of your pay? Wondering how much this will cost me right off the bat.

Company will pay for all your uniform items, and you get a $200 uniform allowance on your anniversary date.

Seems about par for the course. I have not personally examined the coat to see if it's the Stan Herman made in China stuff or if it's something else like a London Fog..
