I felt the same way you do prior to going into my interview . I was well prepped on my own and had been a commuter on JB for years and had tons of friends here to help. That being said I still did the interview prep and was blown away from what I learned . You have to remember you're a pilot and prob don't have an HR background. There are things they look for that most pilots don't know about esp from the HR view point . Which most of us laugh / rolls our eyes at .
I have a pretty clean and solid background however there is still a way to explain stuff in the past that I bet you could foul up. That's the interview preps job. They know exactly how to help you sound confident and explain your self , both good and bad .
I know some say oh JB doesn't need interview prep. Maybe so and I bet several hundreds have done the interview withOut any prep and did just fine.
However , let's just say you don't do the prep and you bomb the interview . Could you ask your self this question , ( did I do ALL that I could to prep for this thing ) your answer will be a FLAT out no.
You wouldn't wouldn't forgive you self for 400 dollars.
It's petty in the grand scheme of things man. do the prep man. You ll feel better that you did .
Good luck interviewing.

Had my phone screen last week. Did not fill one out nor was I asked to. The only flight history type of form I received is part of the paperwork packet required for the interview.

It's a long process but when you show up to class you're 100% ready to go. Unlike my previous airlines where we had a guy in class who's employer before last called our airline to say he was totally unreliable when they received the PRIA request.
He said the employer was being vindictive because he refused to fly beyond duty limitations. I don't know who was telling the truth (there are some crazy people who run 135 outfits) but this guy was ultimately let go. He quit his previous job to come to class and now was unemployed.
Point being, with the company doing all their due diligence beforehand there should be no surprises when you show up to class.

I thought PRIA was only to contain information pertaining to the pilots training records and check ride failures with the previous airline. I was not aware that they could add subjective information, like said pilot was difficult to work with or was not a team player. I'm pretty sure beyond PRIA most companies can only confirm or deny that a person worked for them. My previous employer told me that is all they would ever say for fear of being sued.
