I got my "congratulations" email late last week and still haven't received a 2nd with the phone screen schedule. It seems like some got the 2nd email right away and others are waiting a week or more. Could any recent hires shine some light on the process? If we got the congrats email should we just sit back and relax?

Relax!! The app window hasn't even closed yet. The process can be a long drawn out one here. Be patient and don't give up hope just yet...sometimes you're not the 1st one chosen. This goes for all who are waiting.

99.99% of the newhires go to JFK or BOS. We have had very very very few instances of newhires going straight to FLL or LGB, but I wouldn't count on it.

Oh okay. Realistically if you move to BOS or JFK, and you're the sole breadwinner, where would you stay on first year pay? Crash pads aren't an option by the way.

Rent a room from someone off Craigslist. Sounds like an adventure, but you can find normal people out there.

I'd do like IH8ROADS said and find roommates on Craigslist. If you have a family then I'd chose BOS and find a cheap apartment an hour away in southern NH (no income tax).

Missed the sole bread winner part, if you have a family it's tough. You can get an apartment in southern NH. Most new hires go into the red their first year, my case was the first two years.
