jetBlue Hiring

We have a healthy order book for the next few years, but this is only one piece of the puzzle. We don't know how many airframes might be returned at the end of leases, or sold, parked, etc.
Here is our current order book:

As aldonite said above there isn't much attrition. Your seniority progression at JetBlue comes from adding people to the bottom of the seniority list. At places like AA/DL/UA the progression comes from guys leaving above you.

May as well disregard the 190 orders., highly doubtful we will see those. All those fancy upgrades they are talking about like the satcom and cabin updates (which they desperately need) exclude the 190s which makes me think they're just going to let them get more ratty until they go away in a few years when the leases expire. Had a mechanic on board fixing an issue and he mentioned the first few will not even get Flyfi equipped.
That jives with what I've heard over the years. We will let some of the early birds go but will still take some of the newer orders of the 190. I believe we own 30 and lease 30. From what I got, the only reason we still have any on order and didn't cancel all together is because Embraer cut us a nice deal to not cancel all of them as the launch customer in order to save face in the industry.
I thought I rode on a 190 the other day that had the bigger Tv's... but that couldve been the fatigue of 4 legs in and out of EWR before my commute lol.

Does anyone know what the success rate of the phone screening is? I got the email but I am nervous about my checkride history from my part 61 training. Currently a regional 121 FO 4000 TT 2500 TSIC. I remember writing a whole page explanation about my checkride failures but it doesn't show up in my additional documents. Anyone with any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

Even though it's less than 3%, it's still a lot when you compare it to the amount of new hires. Attrition accounts for 25-35% of new hires. Jblue has hired about 200 so far this year and about 65 has quite...still have almost 5 months left. Attrition most likely will increase next year as well. JetBlue plans on hiring 370 next year with 10 pilots leaving a month.

to the guy wondering about the phone interview. Be honest, own up to your mistakes and provide an explanation that you learned from it. If you haven't had any issues in the 121 world, you should be fine.
