JetBlue is where i want to have a career! I also plan on attending the OBAP convention in august if that would help, unless you think i am wasting my time with my current times and only the 2 year degree right now. Thanks!!
Here is a better question. Why wouldn't you apply if this is where you want to work? Applying more than once is a good thing (if you don't get picked up the first time). Shows you want to be here. People get hired here with a lot less time. Update your profile every week or two, go to job fairs, and apply in every window you can. Can't get an interview if you don't apply.

+1

I think it is silly not to apply, if you want to be here. Regardless of TT

I don't feel that anyone is dragging their feet on the contract. Anyone who thought the contract would take under 3 years has never been through a negotiation before. We are still on schedule and from what even ALPA reports out, making good progress.

That all may change, but for now let's keep it real and not mix emotion into the conversation. The guys who are upset with the timeline are the guys who don't understand the process, and are unrealistic about what it takes to get an agreement.

At a recent LEC meeting it was reported that negotiations have been going good, the company has been showing up prepared and negotiations have been going at a good pace. Now, as we embark on the money and QOL sections (Scheduling, Compensation, etc) we will see how things are going moving forward. They are back to negotiations next week and we should have a better feel.

Right. Things may slow down, and that's fairly common when you get to the costly parts of the negotiations. But for now it's on track, and no one is dragging their feet.

well, had I gotten shot down the first time I would have tried again. Two good buds got in on the second try. Shot down the second round, I must say, I'd have a real hard time putting effort into a company that turned me away twice, but I'd probably do it.

Another buddy, that exact situation, turned down here twice. Works for AA now. Just got MIA based. So everything happens for a reason? ... whatever helps ya sleep at night right!

+1. The pace of negotiations has been rather impressive and by all accounts has been approached in good-faith by each side. Pilots want to procure a competitive contract (IMHO I believe we will) and management has a company to run and therefore must control cost to the best of their ability. Reaching the middle ground in all chapters is a laborious process that sometimes involves, contentious and vigorous debate - which contrary to popular belief in today's society is typically healthy for the finished product. Let's not confuse complex negotiations with delay. The company has as much motivation to complete a contract as anyone; I can't imagine (although I do not have empirical data) they can continue to carelessly forfeit 25% or more of first year pilots to the legacies.
