Not bad. About 7-8 treadmills, 4 ellipticals, 4-6 bikes, free weights, yoga mats, bosu balls....basically it's better than just about any hotel gym I've stayed at. It's not quite a full-on gym, but you should be more than able to get a good workout in. Also, you can plug in your iPhone and play music over the speakers in there.

Disagree with the last part here....I'd say maybe you have a 50% chance at MOST of getting an interview. I've been to two...did well and had great conversations and haven't heard anything. Very competitive record and I got calls elsewhere. I also know plenty of people who did not get an interview and went. Just throwing it out there if you plan on dishing out tons of money to get there. It will definitely increase your chances but by no means is it a sure thing.

Back in my day (which wasn't terribly long ago) whenever there was an oral of some sort and you didn't know the answer, the correct response was something like "I'm not quite sure of the answer, but I know where to look it up to find out"
It's a worthwhile skill, not just a memorized answer.
Not to bash on you specifically, but many people come here to the forums looking for basic info. It drives me nuts. Try looking it up first.
Scheduling, payroll, etc, they all benefit when people don't know the rules by which they are working.
*Rant over* Off to the TOTD thread to self-nominate......

You wrote a lot too not answer the question.
Why not try typing "yes, but can't do much on your reserve days"
Little easier. It's called courtesy...
Glass half empty? Or full?
For the person asking...pg 48 of FSM if you want more info.. Just can't trade or swap RSV days.

Is this confirmed? I don't see them on the list...
http://www.sun-n-fun.org/career-fair/
I hope so. I was under the impression JetBlue wouldn't be at SunNFun, and United wouldn't be at OBAP (my top 2) I have tickets for both but can only make one or the other, not both. I saw JB/UA at NGPA and I'll see them again at WAI. Not sure which of the two to go to between SunNFun/OBAP. SunNFun is certainly cheaper and easier to get to... Would it be as valuable of a career fair (towards your application/resume) as the other big ones?

I agree.
While I see how it can be mildly annoying to have someone ask what may seem a basic question to you is it really necessary to hunt through the FSM when there is a wealth of knowledge on this board?
Yes EVERYONE needs to be familiar with the FSM, but you know after reading a whole page it can be clear as mud. A 5 second response vs 5-10 minutes of searching can be a lifesaver at the end of a long day or when a search is not really that easy.
There are ALSO some gotchas and grey areas those that haven't been here long may not foresee.
I asked a captain question a few weeks ago. He said "that sounds like a good project for this flight....why don't you look it up?" I looked for the answer for about 30-40 minutes and could never find it. Afterwards he told me "you won't find it in there" he finally told me the answer. Was all that really necessary?
If it bothers anyone when someone asks a question, I might suggest scrolling past the post and not paying any attention.
One of the purposes of this forum is to have discussions, ask questions etc. otherwise why are we all here?
Just food for thought.
