jetBlue Hiring
#671
What kind of minimums does JetBlue have and typically what are guys being hired with? Sorry I'm sure it was buried somewhere in 67 pages of posts, but I'd like to also hear the most current reports. Thanks!

High level non-pilot types?

But there doesn't seem to be any magic formula for getting the interview, many people (myself included) didnt have any internal recs or above average qualifications but wound up getting the call.

4700TT, 4000 jet sic, 12 internal recs from pilots and instructors, 3 recs from FA's, 6 application windows and still no call. If anyone has the formula, I'll buy you your favorite 12 pack for it...

You seem like what they are looking for based on the guys Ive met in HQ, MCO and the line. Check airman do seem to know who to send reqs to- Ive given a friends stuff to a chief pilot and nada. Its a funny formula, but I hope your persistence pays off man. I was enlisted Marines and I think that helped me but its hard to know. Remember all you need is your resume gettin in front of one important set of eyes. Good luck man.

The formula is Hard Work + Patience + Networking = Job
Maybe some luck too. It's important to keep positive. There is an entire generation of pilots before us that got royally screwed, plus the age 65 law pushed everything back and here we are. We will get there eventually, but enjoy the experience along the way. Once you "make it" it will be boring and get old quick, so enjoy the journey.
