JFK E190 is shortest reserve time right now.
Go look at February's JFK 320 results and you'll see a line awarded to an August hire. Hybrids as well.

As an Oct new hire, I was awarded a hybrid line. Was able to swap all of my POS(Port of Spain) overnights for better paying ones. Yes I got only 12 days off vs the 15 days off my friends who got reserve lines, but enjoy having my schedule more known with just 8 reserve days (3 day and 5 day block) and the rest pairings for 92 credit.

Aside from going to job fairs, is there any tips or tricks to get noticed by HR? I'm local to BOS and looking to make the jump to 121. Currently flying as a Hawker PIC, with about 4200 total time.

Update your hours on your profile weekly or better. Most people in my interview group did it very frequently. That and a job fair seem to be common trends amongst the ones I was able to talk to at the interview. Though I know some who do both and haven't got a call. Smile a lot when you do meet the recruiters at a job fair.

45 min drive to hotel with hardly anything around it . Even the hotel staff tell us not to leave the hotel . Diner is 45 bucks!, and breakfast is 35 I believe with our discount . There are a few resturants you can wonder to that aren't terrible but doesn't make up for the rest of it sucking .

Only good thing about that spot is the hotel gym is nice for a hotel gym. The rest is garbage ...

POS sucks...
carnival or not. I'd rather go to BUF... and I hate the cold.

Of course the hotel staff is going to tell you not to leave the hotel. There is plenty around, if you're not scared of your shadow and venture down the hill. There are some pretty good places to eat overe there as well, and only about a 10-15 minute walk.

I haven't notated on property in POS in years, sometimes an overnight is as good or bad as you make it.

I will admit, the bus ride is a bit too long for my taste.
