Side note... I noticed in the recent system bid a bunch of guys bid over from the 190 to 320 JFK.

Did you talk with BPF?

Sorry to hear about all of that.

Has jetBlue mentioned how big of a pilot group they want to arrive at in the next 5 to 10 years?

For some reason 6000 pilots sticks out in my head. Could be way off though. Just going on what I've heard a while back.

I haven't heard mgmt say a number. But we've got about 200 airplanes and 3000 pilots and an order book to take us close to 300 airplanes in that time frame. So I'd guess about 4500.

300 airplanes by 2022 if we don't park anything. We have a few leases coming up but we own a majority of our aircraft. Prior leases have been renewed or bought out from what I can find but no one knows what 5 yrs will bring. Currently staffed at around 15 pilots per plane so a solid WAG is around 4500 pilots in 2021 timeframe. With almost 50 321 at that time the airline is going to have to compete with much stronger network airlines and I think the e190 is going to get chopped to improve profitability.

nope... that would have to be done via "aggressive pickup" which would have to be done (and approved the day prior)

There are three 48hr windows that happen after the bids close. As a RSV you can only swap or drop RSV days within your schedule during these windows.

If you see a trip in opentime pot that you'd like to bid for then go into flica and click the 'submit request' under the 'Pilot RSV opentime bid east coast' menu on the left side of the main age. Do NOT request trips under the regular opentime pot. These requests are processed 7am the day prior to the trip starting.

Have the contractors explaining to the insurance company that the number is off. Don't think we will have to come out of pocket when it shakes out. We've had some pretty serious hardships but I read these stories in the BPF newsletter and I'm like,"wow these pilots have it way worse than us." Except for the guy with the tree that fell on his house but that's another story!

We just don't give up and I'm cleaning up the mess by working as much as possible... 106 credit this month not including holiday pay.
Lots of good folks here and those "let's get a beer I'm buying," or hey, "go grab us all a Starbucks and I got it," is much appreciated.

How does one go about doing that? I've been searching but not finding the answer
