I actually have high hopes this time. Mco cp says he's asking for more crews, lax MCO flights coming next year... It might finally be our time!

Our shot to grow MCO was when american moved terminals. I had a glimmer of hope until frontier moved in no less than 2 weeks later.
Didn't you hear? We're buying them for their 321 order book and a Denver base!

I had a question about how you guys do vacancy fillings/awards. A question came up on our side in regards to vacancy fillings. Here we do a quarterly bid. So every 3 months your standing bids are awarded. Question is, if they should allow a 1-for-1 swap, even if there is no vacancy?

To give an example, suppose there are no published CA vacancies in BOS and FLL. And then a vacancy is available for 5 JFK CAs. Suppose all 5 are JFK FOs that end up getting that JFK CAs. Now, within this vacancy award, if 1 BOS CA has FLL as #1 choice and 1 FLL CA has BOS as #1 choice, then would this allow a 1-for-1 mutual swap? Does that make sense? I hope I'm clear in what I'm asking

Ours are quarterly too (1st week of March, June, Sept, Dec). They don't have any way to grant this type of mutual swap. The only way you can get into a base is if there is a vacancy, or someone swaps out of that base (creating a vacant spot).

I don't think we have a provision for that at JetBlue. My previous alpa carrier did have an ability to do that outside of vacancy bids, you had to go around and get approval of everyone senior to the two people to make sure you weren't jumping anyone's preference. I am sure someone better with computers than me could write that into the program.

Actually word is, from an GOAA employee I chatted with on the train a few weeks ago, that we've been in talks about interest in the new terminal on the south end thats being built....
