Invite Only!!
You can come to a Vets in Blue if you are a veteran. A veteran is a veteran. No special invite you just have to find out about it. We are interviewing on Dec 11th. Many Vets are interviewing on the 11th or in the future that were present at this past Vets in Blue! If you have a friend at Jetblue tell them to let you know when the info comes out next time. There is a special box to check for veterans in the application! Good Luck!

Vets InBlue is invite Only. They send you an email with a RSVP attachment. Once you say yes you will attend they send you an email with a link to fill out a form and print your admission ticket. Once you arrive at headquarters for the event they check your name against the roster of names that have RSVP'd. Once you enter the room they check your name again and issue a pre-printed name tag. I say all of this, to basically say if you are not invited and your name is not on the list you will not get in. The conference room where the event is held only has room for 120 people (fire code) that is why attendance is strictly monitored and controlled.

Based on the last one I'm pretty sure it's filled first come first serve. But you can register on line without an invite. I'm not a vet but when the last one came around there was a website for you to register. Nothing invite only about it. Just sign up before they reach capacity.
They send an invite out...but anybody who is a vet was able to register. The key for anybody that wants to go is to make sure you sign up early when they announce the event.

At the last event in Nov, it was a mix of everybody. Active military pilots about to retire, mid-career military pilots looking to jump ship, prior enlisted sergeants (used GI bill for ratings + working at a regional), Army WOs with helo backgrounds, ground pounder infantry officers that worked into the regionals.

Yes, that quote sums it up. A veteran is a veteran.
Keep your ear to the ground. When you hear news of the next event, register at your earliest opportunity. For the November event, it was announced on this website with enough notice to register before they hit the registration limit.

Don't get all excited for this, practically all 120 had 6-8k total time or more, loads of TPIC, instructors, 121 experience, ect... Everybody was super qualified. I don't think just showing up is going to get you an invite, unless you are in top ten percent or something. Plus you had to pay for all of it...

Probably transportation and hotel.
Since it is not an interview they likely do not positive space you out there.
With that being said...a potential small price to pay if you are interested in working for jetBlue. While this was only the second VIB, many who attend end up getting an interview invite shortly after. Compare those odds to the folks who simply have an app on file or attend a normal job fair.

A little off topic and I apologies, but can anyone reading comment on what the attrition is like from the senior ranks at JBA? Are a lot of Cptns taking recall rights to the legacies? Numbers?

Nobody makes you attend it, JetBlue is trying to help out the vets.
They didn't charge you to attend.
