And I thought I was young...

Great news. Hopefully they'll call me.

27 years left with family in BOS and MCO. I think I'll be like the earlier poster that moves to NH and bids reserve.

No, that's right on point. I was on reserve briefly a couple of months ago. I UTOed a trip, and then later tried to pick up something in it's place. It was denied, due to the UTO footprint.

I believe you can call crew services and pick up something that way. I know this is the case for PTO. The PTO will then go back into your bank.

Slight change of topic, but can anyone tell me if there's any time given during the 6 weeks of training to travel home and check on the family? If so, is it positive space, or do we already have jumpseat ability on weekends?

So how far into NH is it practical to reside given a 2 hour call-out for RSV? Do all the NH fellas live fairly close to the border (I would think so, but...) How far up 93 or up 95, or whatever? And how does the company define 2 hours--is that to the crew room? Parking lot, etc???

I'm not 100% sure but I think I've moved a UTO by contacting scheduling. I might be confusing that with moving a PRL so I could pick something up. I forget.

It can't hurt to call and ask.

Pilots primarily live on either 95 or 93. The 95 group lives mostly in Hampton, Exeter, Greenland, Stratham etc. The 93 group lives primarily in or around Manchester, Hookset, Hudson etc.

The two hours is to the gate.

Sorry I don't have any intel for the north

it's absolutely not to the gate.

you have 2 hours to "report". per the FSM. Reporting is defined in the FOM and it is very vague. Probably by design. We have guys here who push the limits of reason... 9/10 times they're ok, then they get whacked... Some argue that this is part of the reason we have a dependability policy now.

IMO, as a RSV lifer, I do my best to be walking up to or be in the lane at security at 2 hours. This way there's a digital stamp at KCM when CS attempts to say I was late or I was the reason for the late push ect. yes it's happened.

they call: 15min later I call back
Positive contact made: 2 hours to report
for me it's a hour to get ready and 40min drive. 20 min fudge factor.

plan accordingly

You'll be in cass so you can jumpseat. Bigger classes have sometimes had a break for some people due to limited sim availability. Sometimes. Occasionally.

I was hired during the holidays so I got 3 days for Christmas and 2 or 3 days for New Years. When are you starting? Or still swimming in the pool?
