jetBlue Hiring
#511
Yup. For the Ejet guys in my class it's 8 more months of a pay cut compared to the PEA we were hired under. Anywhere from 7-12 hours at straight pay vs time and a half. That's $4000-$7000 less (pretax) over the period.
Keep in mind this company says "there is no probation" here, so instead there is now just a subgroup of pilots who are treated differently than the rest. Very disappointed.

I agree completely! Apply for blujet! Forget Delta, United and American! Come for the culture! Well worth the price of admission!

For those wondering whether to sign or not here is the reality.
It doesn't matter.
Ask yourself this. How is anything contained within the PEA enforcible? Every PEA since the inception of this airline has changed. Language removed, language added. Lawyers and pilots alike have told JetBlue what merger, fragmentation, and holding company language needed to be. Pilots have been fired without due process. Insurance is changed via email. FSM is changed via update. Protections are explained via email and conference calls but verbiage for all the above is not adjusted in the PEA. None of this has been properly addressed.
This pea, more than any other, provides the pilot group an accurate assessment of managements responsibility and support for the pilot group. In short, very little. This PEA more than any over makes clear managements intention to protect their options. This is a business ladies and gents. Values do not protect pilots. Legally binding language does.
Go back and read the PVC emails. New pilots go to the PVC website and read what has transpired.
What every pilot must understand is JetBlue is not here to protect you. That is evident in the PEA. Unless your believe in fairy tales and unicorns it's not the their responsibility either. JetBlue wants you to believe they care and to a certain extent they do. Move the AC how they want, treat the customers how they want. Do this and the job is fine. Expect anything else and that is not their responsibility. ITS YOURS!

Month of November my credit is 88 and December is about 80 without changing anything for better credit. So until April comes around ( DOH) this is a slap in the face for 1st year pay guys. Why am I being penalized for 3A.... I call Bs on that excuse

3a ****es me off too. It's not fair that people that were not here are getting shafted. I think it is a lame excuse as well tho. Like I said, this PEA is not the answer. Nor is the Direct Relationship.

Like it or not (I personally think it's going to hurt us) that's the truth. If the first year guys got a raise, there WOULD be a group that would bring 3A up all over again to get more $$$. It would/will be a vicious cycle until the situation gets resolved.

Bottom line guys, first year pay will suck no matter where you are..not saying its fair..it's just a reality...kind of like an induction. On a different note, no other major lets you credit 100+...quit being time *****s...90 should be your max period!

They can blame 3a all they want and it's true but don't let them blame the pilots.
The blame lies in the way 3a was poorly worded. Just like that oversite this new PEA is FULL of holes.
Time to put our big pants on and negotiate a real contract with real contract language.
