SCR vs LCR...new resv question
I start a block of resv days tomorrow. Flica shows my start time at 7:00am. The following day says LCR. Will they keep my LCR for the following day, or will it change back to SCR after 12:00 tomorrow (If I am not used tomorrow?) I was told this summer there was no LCR for reserves. Also, how are reserves utilized? I'm a bit confused.
First in first out? Or if 4 pilots are good for a 4 day -will scheduling call the pilot with the lowest credit for the month or the more junior pilot? Any advice is appreciated -thanks

Read the scheduling manual for a better answer, but if 4 pilots are in the 4 day "bucket" they will use the one that is on call the earliest and still legal with a buffer for any known/unknown delays that could get an airplane stuck. If 2 or more pilots fall into that category, then the one with the lowest credit hours will be used. USUALLY it is the earliest SCR guy though.
UNLESS........there is a pilot that is still NQP status and doesn't have his 100 hours. That trumps everything if he is legal.
Hope that is clearer than mud.

It depends on the base/AC, BUT I would bet $100 that they change you to SCR.

Recommend reading all rsv sections of the fsm while you're up there in the crashpads. Cs will take advantage of your newness. Section D. The J charts.
And for sakes! Do not accept a duty day longer than 16 hrs. Even if it's "leagal".

Next day goes to lowest credit, then lowest seniority by 12pm the day prior. Same day goes first in first out.
Like the others told you, make sure you read the FSM reserve chapter and the assignment flow-charts.
I am assuming you have to do your 100hr, so until then you will be the one getting call all the times, as long as you are legal.
And as far as a LCR after a SCL, that will not stick. You only get to keep a LCR at the begging of a RSV block.

Read your FSM, and don't be afraid to call them out when they are not following it.
Don't ever tell them you'll be at the airport sooner than the 2 hours you're required to have.
Start looking at FLICA and the DRO the day before, and see who gets what trip, and you'll start to get a reasonably good idea as to what you're likely and not likely to get called for.
