Not so funny
if you recently buried your mother!
Until certain things happen to you
it's not easy to be sensible
but you could still be smart about it
Not everyone is fresh out of high school
and the sense of humor changes
as you grow up. Thank you!
Ahh... Ranting again...ok enough

Also, what is the current estimate for resv in JFK and any pointers for IOE? Thanks a million!
A room would be at least 700/month
Try to stay in Kew Gardens
compare to Ozone Park
more options for food
and JB has a shuttle
2hr drive is risky and
you will do lot of driving
and spend a lot in gas
Company pays for parking
RSV in JFK about 6 months
LCR vs SCL was explained here
in this blog just few pages back

BlueBlood has good ideas. I know some people who drive closer to base and sit at a coffee shop (if the 2hrs is tight).

Having your own room, is very expensive. Regular crashpads are $230+ depending on quality/ hot bunk, etc.

You are on the right track with RSV. You should plan on 100% short call, and rarely, you might get a long call or two.

I'm sure he knew your mother had recently passed and was personally attacking you......I have been out of high school for more years than I'd like to admit but still laugh at sophomoric humor. If you're having a difficult time right now why not step away from the keyboard because we are all idiots when hiding behind a computer screen

My mom's dead too. It happens to all of us eventually unfortunately. He was trying to be funny.....I'm certain he didn't realize your mom died, nor was he trying to touch a nerve...

Some have better senses of humor than others.
