Typically you can only be bumped out of your seat if your base reduces positions. And even then senior guys cannot bump you out. If you're 5 from the bottom and the reduction is 4 positions, you'll be safe. No new upgrades could come into that base and force you out.
Of course, we could write the language however we wish, but it would be seriously crappy to have senior guys bumping out junior captains just because they finally decided to upgrade. They can bid on new positions only. There has to be some benefit to biting the bullet and taking first upgrade.

We will see.
I have no idea what they will want but we don't have it now so they will have to "negoitate" for it. (Good for us)
I was mainly giving that marine ground pounder a hard time since he is senior to me and that was my plan as well.

They will have a hard time getting something that isn't industry standard language, I would think. Plus, the company wants system bids to drive less training, not more, so they will likely want the same thing.
It's this little stuff that adds up to big QOL impacts. I just hope people look to more than just the pay rate when we get a TA hammered out for a vote.

Sorry to hear that. Admittedly I'm a day trip guy so with enough productivity you aren't usually legal for much of a sit. I stand corrected.
I think the moral of the story is 320 trips > 190 trips unless you'd prefer 4 legs over backside of the clock.

Unless you're planning on commuting to LGB, FLL or MCO. Then it matters. LGB and FLL, don't bid the 190. MCO don't bid the 320 unless you wanna wait at least 2 years. That's why I said what I did about bases in the NE.
